About the Museum
At not quite 60 years old, the Met's are still one of the newer Major League Baseball organizations. Before the first Met had suited up, the Yankees already had almost 20 world championships. But there is still enough history in the Met's organization to merit a Hall of Fame museum, built into Citi Field. During game days (or on a scheduled tour of Citi Field) stop by to see the greatest moments of Mets baseball.
What You Will See
The Met's have inducted 27 members into their Hall of Fame. Each member has a plaque in the museum, and most have personal items such as a jersey or a signed baseball on display. In addition, visitors can see both of the Met's championship trophies and review some of the Met's best moments in video installations.
Why You Should Go
New York is a baseball town and while most of its memorable moments have come out of the Bronx, the Met's have been responsible for their own share. The 1969 "Miracle Mets", and the 1986 victory over the Red Sox are both legendary seasons, seared into the minds of New York City fans, regardless of pinstripes. Celebrate this history as part of your game day trip to Citi Field.
