The Drawing Center maintains one of the best gallery stairwells in the city, with rotating installations of unique, site-specific work. This year, the commission was given to Edie Fake, a Chicago-based artist working in the fields of fantastical architecture. Fake's work is centered around metaphors of LGBTQ+ space and identity and this installation honors the Labyrinth Foundation which worked with trans men in Chicago in the 1960s.
